In 1996, the National Basketball Associated decided to commemorate its 50th anniversary by honoring the 50 great players that made the league into one of the most popular professional sports. From foundational players like Paul Arizin, Dolph Schayes, and Bill Russell, to contemporary stars such as Shaquille O’Neal and James Worthy, the NBA selected a plethora of incredible athletes to inhabit this basketball pantheon.
25 of the 50 NBA players honored on this lithograph have added their signature to this item. It has been signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Nate Archibald, Charles Barkley, Rick Barry, Dave Bing, Larry Bird, Dave Cowens, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, George Gervin, John Havlicek, Elvin Hayes, Magic Johnson, Sam Jones, Jerry Lucas, Earl Monroe, Shaquille O’Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon, Scottie Pippen, Oscar Robertson, Isiah Thomas, Wes Unseld, Bill Walton, Jerry West, and Lenny Wilkens. The signatures have been written in black marker, with the exception of Pippen, who signed in blue marker. This item comes with LOA from JSA (Y79508) and PSA/DNA Sticker only (6A04998).
