New York Yankees first baseman and designated hitter Jason Giambi wore this jersey during the 2002 MLB season, his first in New York. A former American League MVP, Giambi clubbed 41 home runs in his first season in pinstripes. The 2002 All-Star’s 122 RBI and .314 batting average helped the Yankees to a 103-59 regular season record, and yet another American League East title.
This jersey is a white, button down, pinstriped Yankee home jersey with the Yanks iconic interlocking “NY” logo sewn on the left breast in navy blue tackle twill. Giambi’s number “25” is sewn on the back of the jersey in navy blue tackle twill beneath a MLB logo patch. Russell Athletic and “2002” tag are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. “100% Polyester” and “’2” Extra Length’” flags are attached to the Russell tag. This jersey, which shows light to moderate use, comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
