New York Yankees catching sensation Gary Sanchez wore this Wilson A2000 catcher’s mitt during the 2011 MiLB season. Sanchez, in his second year of professional ball, suited up for the A-level Charleston RiverDogs and Leones del Escogido of the Dominican Winter League in 2011. He played 90 games that season, mashing 17 home runs with 53 RBI in his limited playing time. In 2016, during Sanchez’s first year of Major League ball, the Dominican catcher thrilled New York fans by slugging 20 home runs in only 53 games. Along with fellow young Bomber Aaron Judge, Sanchez is an exciting piece for the Yankees to build around in the post-“Core Four” era.

This mitt is made of brown and black leather, and has a circular Wilson logo embroidered on the thumb. “A2000” is embroidered in yellow over a MLB logo on the pinkie slot. Sanchez signed this mitt in gold pen, adding the inscription “2011 G.U”. This item comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature (C10019). Sanchez’s authenticated signature and inscription serve as game use authentication for this historic mitt.
