“All Rise!” is the most common phrase heard at Yankee Stadium during the 2017 season, in loving reference to the Yankees gargantuan right fielder Aaron Judge. Blessed with prodigious home run power, Judge surpassed Joe DiMaggio’s Yankee rookie record of 29 home runs set all the way back in 1936. Listed at 6’7” and tipping the scales at 282 pounds, Judge is capable of generating almost unheard of power in his arcing swings. In the new era of baseball, dominated by StatCast and sabermetrics, Judge owns the fastest exit velocity of any home run, at a whopping 121.1 miles per hour. Fans love Judge, as evidenced by his almost 4.5 million All-Star votes in 2017, which made him the leading vote-getter in the American League.

     The cleats offered here are from his 2014 season, which he spent with the high-A Tampa Yankees and the A-level Charleston RiverDogs. This was Judge’s first season in the pros after his Fresno State collegiate career, and the future star hit 17 home runs, with 78 RBI and a batting average on the right side of .300. He wore these size 17 Under Armour cleats during his travels through minor league ball, and the cleats display excellent wear. The right cleat has a large rip on the right side where the body meets the midsole. The cleats are made of black ballistic material and plastic. A white Under Armour logo is applied to each toe and heel. Judge signed each toe in silver marker, adding the inscription “2014 Game Used” to each signature.
