Presented here is a letter signed by the 34th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower. A five-star general, “Ike” was an incredibly effective president, advancing the causes of Civil Rights and the New Deal while also creating the Interstate Highway System, the backbone of domestic American trade. In this letter, Eisenhower, who held the highest office in America from January 20th, 1953 until 1961, thanks his friend Darryl F. Zanuck for his correspondence regarding Eisenhower’s recent speech at the United Nations. Eisenhower typed this letter on December 17th, 1953 on official White House stationary. He signed his name in black fine tipped marker. This letter comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A81818).
