Presented here is a baseball signed primarily by members of the 1954 Milwaukee Braves, although an assortment of non-Brave National League stars have also placed their signatures on this Spalding Official National League Warren Giles orb. The 1954 Braves were an excellent team, finishing with 89 wins against 65 losses as one of only three National League teams that finished with a winning record. Additionally, a 20-year old Hank Aaron made his Major League debut in 1954, hitting 20 of his 755 career home runs during the campaign.

This baseball features 23 signatures, including a scarce rookie signature of Hank Aaron. Also included are Hall of Famers Warren Spahn, Richie Ashburn, and Robin Roberts. Charlie Grimm, the manager of the Braves, and John Cooney have signed the sweet spot. Other signatures include Dan O’Connell, Sid Gordon, Lew Burdette, Walt Linden, Joe Adcock, George “Catfish” Metkovich, Roy Smalley, Chet Nichols, Sam Calderone, Charlie White, Paul Burris, Sibby Sisti, Jim Pendleton, Earl Torgeson, and several more. The signatures have been written in black ballpoint and steel-tip fountain pen. Please note that the signature of Eddie Mathews has been deemed a clubhouse version, a common practice dating back to the 1920s. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z46400).
