Following in the footsteps of Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Rice was the next superstar and Hall of Famer to man Fenway Park’s left field. Rice was the dominant force of the mid-to-late 1970s Red Sox teams and was the 1978 American League MVP.

Rice’s Hall of Fame career was winding down when he used this Rawlings/Adirondack 383A model bat during his final season of 1989. This bat displays outstanding use and is un-cracked. There ball marks and other abrasions present on the barrel. Rice’s number “14” has been hand written in black marker on the knob. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14555) and has been graded a near perfect GU 9 and there is an additional LOA from former Major League pitcher Lee Smith, who attests that this bat was given to him by Rice.
