1992 was Frank Thomas' second full season in the Majors and he led the American League with 46 doubles, 122 walks, on-base percentage (.439) and OPS (.975). That sophomore campaign continued the standard he set that the “Big Hurt” would maintain throughout his career that saw him become the first DH elected to the Hall of Fame.
During the 1992-95 seasons when he used this bat, no man was more feared at the plate than “The Big Hurt”. This WC129 model Worth bat shows moderate use and is un-cracked. There are some ball marks are found on the barrel, along with cleat marks, bat rack streaks and a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. Thomas’ initials “FT”, length “4 1/2” and model “WC129” have been stamped into the knob and his number “35” hand written in black marker. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in silver marker and added his number “35” and “93 AL MVP”. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14549) and there is an additional LOA from former Major League pitcher Lee Smith, who attests that this bat was given to him by Rodriguez. There is also a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C11902) for his signature.
