Graded MINT 9 by PSA. This is one of just eight examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of more than 225 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. An abundantly fascinating individual, Moe Berg hit .243 in 662 games during a 15-year Major League career. It is for his complex personality, however, and his mysterious reputation as an Allied spy that the catcher is best remembered. (Those aspects, and the depth of his education, which once prompted Casey Stengel to refer to Berg as, "a guy who speaks ten languages and can’t hit in any of them.") Here is a much-coveted and high-grade collectible of one of baseball's most intriguing figures, in Mint condition.
