Presented here is a framed concert poster for a Muhammad Ali Festival at Hunter’s Point, San Francisco, in 1967. This gorgeous poster features numerous afro-centric drawings and an ornate border. The bands slated to play at this celebration of brotherhood and free-love includes the Steve Miller Blues Band, Sonny Lewis Quintet, and the Haight Street Jazz Band. A black and white photograph of Ali at a press conference is the centerpiece of this framed concert poster.
Below the poster is a plaque that reads, “Muhammad Ali Festival / San Francisco – 1967 Poster / ‘Only three such posters are known’ / According to Christie’s Los Angeles”. This poster measures 15 x 22 inches and comes in a 21 ½ x 29 ½ inch frame.
