     Presented here is a piece of framed artwork commemorating two of baseballs’ modern iron men. Cal Ripken Jr. and Sachio Kinugasa hold the records for consecutive games played in MLB and NPB, with streaks of over 2,000 consecutive games played. Kinugasa, the son of a Japanese mother and African-American father, played his entire career for the Hiroshima Carp. He played in 2,216 consecutive games during his lengthy professional career. A member of the NPB 500 home run club, Kinugasa is one of the greatest players in Asian baseball.

     The other player honored in this artwork is the all-time leader in consecutive games played in any country, Cal Ripken Jr. Ripken played 2,632 games in a row for the Baltimore Orioles, shattering Lou Gehrig’s record by over 500 games. A member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Ripken is mentioned in the same breath as legendary shortstops such as Honus Wagner and Arky Vaughan. Each man signed this artwork in black marker. They are depicted numerous times across the piece, including shaking hands. A large portrait of Ripken dominates the center of the artwork. This item comes in a 44 ½ x 37 inch frame. This item comes with a LOA from JSA.
