     Presented here is a collection of memorabilia from the 1948 London Summer Olympics, the first to be held since the 1936 Berlin Games. The first item is a cachet signed by Bob Kurland, Ralph Beard, Kenny Rollins, and Wah Wah Jones of the ’48 USA Men’s Basketball team. Kurland signed in black marker, while Beard, Rollins, and Jones signed in blue marker. This item comes with a COA from JSA (I50376). A second cachet, signed by Arnie Ferrin, is also included. Ferrin, a two-time NBA champion with John Kundla’s Minneapolis Lakers, signed this cachet in black pen.

     This item comes with a COA from JSA (I52202). Also offered is an index card signed by former NBA player Ray Lumpp, who signed in black pen. His signature comes with a COA from JSA (S31946). The remaining items are unsigned. First is a ticket from the track and field events on August 4th held at Empire Stadium. Also included is a scored athletics program from July 31st at Wembley Stadium. A program from the Opening Ceremony on July 29th at Wembley Stadium is also included. Finally, a small red pin with Polish text and a European style eagle is included.
