The 1949 MLB All-Star Game was a slugfest, as the American League stormed to an 11-7 victory over the National League at Ebbets Field. Brothers Joe and Vince DiMaggio led the way for the American League, finishing a combined 4-9 with four RBI and two doubles. Stan Musial and Ralph Kiner did their part for the National League by launching individual two run home runs. Virgil Trucks picked up the win for the American League in relief, while Rookie of the Year Don Newcombe took the loss in his home park. Presented here is a ticket stub from the game. The ticket is for a seat in the lower grandstand section that cost $2.00 for one lucky fan in the summer of ’49. It is in good condition and has been encapsulated by SGC (8345036-001).
