Ted Williams was one of the finest hitters who ever lived, a singular dynamo who excelled at every facet of the offensive game. Williams has the highest OBP of any player in baseball history at .482, and was the last man to clear the .400 mark in batting average. Even though Williams missed extensive playing time due to his service in the military during World War II and Korea, “The Splendid Splinter” still managed to smash 521 home runs in his career. In 1966, Williams was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot.

The first item in this collection is a 13 x 10 inch calendar page featuring numerous depictions of Williams, including one of Williams standing side by side with Babe Ruth, one of the few men who can claim to be equal in skill to Williams. The reverse side of this page is a March calendar. Williams signed the page in blue marker. The other item is a Ted Williams “Hitting, Unlimited” book. This short hardcover book features an image of the left-handed batter swinging. Williams signed the first page in blue marker. These items come with LOAs from JSA (Z58651 & Z58652).
