Presented here is a baseball signed by 21 members of the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals circa the early 1940s. The Cubs and Cards were two of the best National League teams of the day, with the Cardinals winning three pennants and the Cubs one. From 1942 through 1946, the Cubs and Cardinals were the only National League pennant winners.
This Official League baseball has the signatures of Hank Wyse and Claude Passeau on the sweet spot. Additional signatures include Bill Nicholson, Phil Cavarretta, Don Johnson, Ray Sanders, Marty Marion, Johnny Hopp, George Fallon, Mort Cooper, Ed Hanyzewski, Bud Byerly, Lou Novikoff, and several more. The signatures have been written in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z58584).
