Presented here is a Sports Illustrated cover from June 18th, 1956 signed by Mickey Mantle. Mantle was at the height of his considerable powers in 1956, as he won the first of his three American League MVP Awards, as well as the AL Triple Crown. Mantle, an All-Star in ’56, hit 52 home runs with 130 RBI and a .353 batting average as the Yankees marched to yet another World Series victory. This Sports Illustrated features a gorgeous color photograph of the young Yankee slugger on the cover. Mantle signed the item in black marker. This item, which comes in a 12 x 15 inch framed display, is accompanied by a COA from Upper Deck (AAH16954).
