John Wooden, the winner of 10 NCAA championships, has signed this Spalding basketball. Wooden is a titanic figure in college basketball from his days at the University of California Los Angeles. After a playing career at Purdue, and a short stint as the coach of Indiana State, Wooden took charge at UCLA in 1948, coaching there until 1975. Wooden taught some of the greatest players in basketball history, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Walton, while building a legacy as a great molder of young men. In addition to his success on the hardwood, Wooden is one of only four known people to notch a hole-in-one and double eagle in the same round of golf! The Hall of Famer has signed this basketball in silver marker, adding the inscription “UCLA” below his signature. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z58656).
