Presented here is a Wilson NCAA Final Four Edition basketball signed by Bill Walton. A star in college for UCLA, and in the NBA primarily for the Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics, Walton was a preternatural scorer and a gifted rebounder. In 1977, Walton led the Blazers to their only NBA championship and repeated the feat some years later as the do-it-all sixth man for Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics. A member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Walton was also named to the NBA’s list of its 50 Greatest Players. Walton signed this Wilson sphere in silver marker, adding the inscription “Hall of Fame ‘93” below his signature. This item comes with a COA from JSA (S31944).
