With the highest percentage of Hall of Fame votes in baseball history, at 99.32%, Ken Griffey Jr. has a strong claim for the title of greatest baseball player of all-time. A sweet-swinging centerfielder with an effervescent grin, “Junior” slugged his way to 630 career home runs despite a near constant run of injuries that robbed him of several prime years. Despite the myriad injuries, Griffey was a fan favorite for every team he took the field for.
Griffey is painted twice on this home plate, once in his batting stance and a second time in portrait, his hat backwards. Griffey signed the bottom of the home plate, and his signature has been painted over by the artist of this piece, Frank Stapleton, who has also signed it. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z58636).
