Of all the great Yankees, perhaps none played the game of baseball with as much grace and skill as Joe DiMaggio. An All-Star in each of his 13 seasons, DiMaggio carried the Yankees to nine World Series titles during his time in the Bronx. As a hitter, DiMaggio was peerless. Over his career, which was interrupted by valiant service in World War II, “The Yankee Clipper” smashed 361 home runs while striking out only 369 times. DiMaggio was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955. This baseball is an Official American League Gene A. Budig ball.
