     Presented here is a first day cover honoring the great Lou Gehrig. Released in 1989, this envelope features a picture of Gehrig and an illustration of the National Baseball Museum. A gold Hall of Fame 50th Anniversary logo is applied to the bottom right corner. This envelope has 31 signatures from some of baseball’s greatest players, including the Hall of Famers Ted Williams, Don Drysdale, Catfish Hunter, Luke Appling, Yogi Berra, Ed Mathews, Willie Stargell, Bill Dickey, Billy Herman, Buck Leonard, Bob Lemon, Ray Dandridge, Juan Marichal, Bob Doerr, Lou Brock, Ralph Kiner, George Kell, Hoyt Wilhelm, Enos Slaughter, Johnny Mize, Robin Roberts, Duke Snider, Lou Boudreau, Bob Feller, Monte Irvin, Bob Gibson, and several more. The signatures have been written in blue pen and blue fiber-tip marker. This item, a limited edition of 2,500, comes with a LOA from JSA (X58892).
