Charles “Kid” Nichols was one of the winningest pitchers of the deadball era. A star for the Boston Beaneaters of the National League, Nichols began his career in 1890. The ace twirler won over 20 games in each of his first 10 seasons, include seven seasons of 30 or more victories. As was the custom of his time, Nichols was an innings-eater, frequently passing the 400 innings per year mark. Nichols, who won 361 career games, was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1949. Nichols signed this index card in blue pen. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z58565).
