Presented here are two stunning 8 x 10 inch black and white photographs of Babe Ruth in a 27 x 19 ½ inch framed display. These two photographs show the Babe standing with Christy Walsh and Joe Williams. Walsh was one of the first sports agents and a true pioneer. He first partnered with Ruth as a ghostwriter, placing a syndicated column bearing Ruth’s name in countless newspapers across baseball-mad America. Famously, Walsh was the mastermind behind the “Babe Ruth All-America Board of Baseball” team that honored the best players at each position each season. The other man in the photographs, Joe Williams, was a famous sports writer for Scripps-Howard News, who wrote the headline "RUTH CALLS SHOT AS HE PUTS HOME RUN NO. 2 IN SIDE POCKET" in reference to Ruth's famous called shot in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series. The three titans are posed on top of a roof sometime during 1940.

On the photo to the left, Ruth inscribed “To My Pal / Christy / Sincerely, / Babe Ruth”. Williams also signed this picture, inscribing “To Christy Walsh / An All-Time / All-American / From Joe Williams 1940”. Both men signed this photograph in black pen.

The other photograph features a similar inscription by the Babe that reads “To My Pal Joe / Sincerely / Babe Ruth”. Walsh signed this photograph, writing “A Dozen Years Have Gone But the Friendship Lingers on Between Joe Williams and Christy Walsh 1928-1940”. Both men have signed this photograph in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (K43369).
