Presented here is a dual signed photograph of Mickey Mantle and Hank Aaron, two of the greatest sluggers of all time. Combined, the two Hall of Famers hit almost 1,300 home runs during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Although Aaron has the lead in All-Star appearances (25 to 20), Mantle has claimed the most MVP awards (three to one). This photograph was taken at one such All-Star Game, the 1958 edition at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. Aaron picked up an RBI and a walk in this game, while Mantle went 1-2 with two walks as the American League picked up a 4-3 victory.
In this picture, Mantle and Aaron are both pictured in their home uniforms, posed in mock batting stances. Both men signed this photograph in blue marker. The photograph measures 7 x 9 ½ inches and comes in a 14 ½ x 16 ½ inch frame. It is accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA (V12213).
