Presented here is a photograph of Mickey Mantle and Eddie Mathews that has been signed by both Hall of Famers. Mantle and Mathews both debuted in the early 1950s and developed into two of the premier home run hitters of the era. Mathews, who played for the Boston, Milwaukee, and Atlanta Braves, hit 512 home runs in his career while making 12 All-Star teams and playing the most games at third base up to that point in baseball history. Mantle was perhaps the most decorated player of the 1950s and 1960s, appearing in 20 All-Star Games and winning a staggering seven World Series. Mantle was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974, with Mathews following shortly after in 1978.
This photograph shows Mantle and Mathews, each wearing the home uniform of their teams, hanging out next to a batting cage. Each man signed the photograph in blue marker. This photograph measures 9 x 7 ½ inches and comes in a 16 ¾ x 13 ¾ inch frame. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (I91353).
