Kobe Bryant wore this warm-up jacket during the 1997-98 NBA season, his second in the Association with the Los Angeles Lakers. A fiercely competitive shooting guard out of Lower Merion High School, Bryant played in 79 games as a 19-year-old in 1997-98, coming off the bench for all but one. Bryant acquitted himself very well for a teenager, showing flashes of the future MVP and five-time NBA champion he would become by averaging 15.4 points per game in only 26 minutes. A shoo-in for Hall of Fame induction, Bryant retired after the 2016 NBA season and 33,643 career points.
This short sleeved, button down warm-up jacket is yellow, with white and purple accents on the shoulders, sleeves, and waist. A Lakers logo patch is sewn on the left breast, and a NBA logo patch is sewn on the right. “BRYANT” is sewn across the back shoulders of this collared warm-up jacket in purple and white tackle twill. Nike size “XL”, Lakers, and NBA tags are sewn on the back inside collar. A “Length +4” flag is attached to the Nike tag. This jacket shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from D.C. Sports.
