A fixture at shortstop for the New York Yankees for two decades, Derek Jeter put together one of his finest seasons in 2006. The Captain collected 214 hits for a .343 BA, scored 118 runs while driving in 97, hit 14 home runs and stole a career-high 34 stolen bases en route to his first silver slugger award, 3rd gold glove, and a tightly contested second place finish in the AL MVP race.
Jeter wore this Majestic size 48 New York Yankees home pinstriped button-down jersey during the 2006 season. This jersey features the traditional interlocking “NY” sewn on the upper left chest in navy blue tackle twill. The back of the jersey has Jeter’s now retired number “2” sewn on in navy blue tackle twill. Above Jeter’s number is the sewn on MLB logo patch in red, white and navy blue. The Majestic tag, along with “2006” and “48” flags, have been sewn on the bottom front left tail. This jersey displays light use and comes with a full LOA from Steiner Sports.
