Offered here is a program from the “Twelfth Annual Mirror Youth Forum” signed by Hall of Fame second baseman Jackie Robinson. This event was held in December of 1954 at the Hotel Sheraton Astor. 1954 was Robinson’s final All-Star season, and the trailblazing ballplayer hit .311 with 15 home runs as the Dodgers finished in second place in the National League.
Robinson signed the apricot-colored cover of this program in gray pencil. Robinson added the inscription “Best Wishes” to his signature. There are three unidentified signatures on the front and back cover of this program, including one with the inscription “To David / With my sincerest regards”. A quote from Benjamin Disraeli, “The Youth of a Nation are the Trustees of Posterity”, is printed at the bottom of this program. The program is bound with silver twine, and comes with a LOA from JSA (Z58666).
