Three-time All-Star outfielder Felipe Alou wore this gray flannel road jersey during the 1969 MLB season, his final campaign with the Atlanta Braves. Alou, who led the majors in hits twice during his time in Atlanta, served as the primary leadoff hitter for a team that finished 93-69, a record good for first place in the National League West and an ultimately unsuccessful appearance in the first NLCS. The eldest of the three Alou brothers finished the season with a .282 batting average, to go along with five homers and 32 RBI.

This flannel jersey has “Braves” sewn across the chest in blue and red tackle twill. A “Screaming Brave” patch is sewn on the left sleeve of this jersey, while a MLB 100th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right. Alou’s number “29” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue and red tackle twill. A “29 42 69” tag is sewn on the back inside collar of the jersey. A Spalding size “42” tag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey above a tag with washing instructions and an attached “Set 1 1969” tag. This jersey shows moderate use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, who authenticates use to the regular season and states that it was “possibly worn in [the] 1969 NLCS.”
