Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame second baseman Ryne Sandberg wore these cleats circa 1983. Sandberg played his second season with the Cubs in 1983, winning a Gold Glove award and hitting 8 home runs with 48 RBI. The fleet-of-foot infielder nabbed 37 stolen bases in the season before his MVP campaign in 1984. Sandberg played for the Cubs until his retirement in 1997, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.
These size 9 ½ Nike cleats are made of blue tanned leather, with white synthetic leather swooshes on each side. The rubber soles house six stainless steel spikes. The lace guards feature a Nike tag and “Sandberg” written in silver marker. The cleats show outstanding wear. Sandberg signed each cleat in blue marker. These cleats come with a LOA from JT Sports for game use, and a LOA from JSA (Z58647) for the signatures.
