Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton wore this blue warm up jacket in the 1970s, during his long tenure with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Sutton broke into the Majors with the Dodgers in 1966, pitching the next 15 seasons with team and making four All-Star Games. Sutton finished his career in 1988, after spending one final season with the Dodgers. The right-hander won 324 games in his long Major League career, throwing 52 shut outs and earning the 1980 National League ERA title. Sutton was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998.
This pullover jacket has “DODGERS” sewn on the chest in white tackle twill above Sutton’s number “20”, sewn on in red tackle twill. “SUTTON” and a second “20” are sewn on the back of the jersey in white tackle twill. The sleeves, collar, and waist of this jacket have been accented with white stripes. A size “44” N.A. Goodman and Sons tag is sewn on the back inside collar of this jersey. This jacket comes with a LOA from MEARS, who have graded it authentic.
