Hall of Famer Tony Perez commanded the Cincinnati Reds infield during the 1970’s when they won four pennants and back-to-back World Championships. He wielded the most feared bat in a lineup of ferocious hitters. This piece of historic wood dates from Perez’ final season with Cincinnati, culminating in the four game sweep of the New York Yankees in the 1976 World Series.

This Hillerich & Bradsby R43 model bat was used by Perez during the 1976 season, the Bicentennial of the United States. This bat displays outstanding use and is un-cracked. There is checking or grain swelling on the barrel from repeated ball contact. Perez’s number “24” is hand written in black marker on the knob and a special “1776-1976 National Pastime” logo is stamped on the barrel. Perez signed his name in blue marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14586) and has been graded a near perfect GU 9.5, along with a LOA from JSA (Z58696) for the signature.
