Presented here is an autographed 4 x 5 inch photograph of Thurman Munson, the all-time great Yankee catcher. A member of the Bombers for 11 seasons, Munson was an American League MVP and Rookie of the Year. He made seven All-Star teams, and was well on his way to a spot in Cooperstown before his tragic death in a 1979 plane crash. Munson is shown in this picture as the archetype of youthful exuberance, his face unburdened by his later signature mustache. Munson is wearing his home pinstripes and a navy blue Yankees cap in this photograph, which he signed in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from SGC (AU78358).
