Hall of Fame centerfielder Ken Griffey Jr. wore this Seattle Mariners jersey during the 1997 MLB season. “The Kid” was at the height of his mesmerizing powers in 1997, crushing 56 home runs, driving in 147 RBI, and hitting a cool .304. Griffey ran away with the American League MVP award, earning every single first place vote. Griffey led the Mariners to a rare American League West Division title during his MVP season, and perhaps even more impressively, turned the Kingdome into one of the most highly attended stadiums in the American League.

This offered Mariners’ jersey is a white, button down home jersey. “MARINERS” is sewn across the chest in navy blue, teal, and silver tackle twill. “GRIFFEY” is sewn across the back of the jersey in navy blue and teal tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. Griffey’s number “24” is sewn beneath his name in navy blue and teal tackle twill. A Mariners 20th Anniversary patch is sewn on the left sleeve, and a Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary logo patch is sewn on the right sleeve. Navy blue piping accents the front and collar of this jersey. Russell size “46” and “1997” tags are sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. “100% Polyester” and “’2” Extra Length’” flags are attached to the Russell tag. Griffey signed the front of the jersey in black marker. His signature is accompanied by a LOA from JSA (Z45715). This jersey, which shows moderate wear, comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, who asserts that this jersey is “one of the best Griffey’s [he has] seen from Seattle in terms of use.
