Fast and lean, the early Barry Bonds was the Pittsburgh Pirates lead-off man in the late 1980's. Credited with adding life to a depressed and tired Pittsburgh franchise, Bonds’ first two seasons in the Steel City saw him combine for 41 home runs, 107 RBI, 68 stolen bases and a .245 average.
Bonds used this Louisville Slugger P72 model bat during those rookie and sophomore seasons and the bat is un-cracked. The bat displays light use. There are a few ball marks and stitch impressions on the barrel along with cleat imprints. “BB” is hand written in faded black marker on the knob. This bat is a terrific early gamer from baseball’s all-time home run leader and it comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14543).
