Hall of Famer Wade Boggs wrapped up his Hall of Fame career spending his last two seasons in the city where he grew up – Tampa, Florida. Boggs’ career spanned 18 seasons, with 11 of those spent in Boston, five in New York with the Yankees and the last two with the newly formed Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Boggs’ final season was 1999, when he appeared in 90 games and appropriately enough, finished with a .301 batting average, the 15th and last time in his illustrious career he hit over .300.

Offered is this 1999 Louisville Slugger B349 model bat used by Boggs from his final season. This ash bat shows outstanding use and is un-cracked. The right barrel shows displays some checking from repeated ball contact, along with numerous ball marks with stitch impressions. There are also green bat rack streaks and the lower handle and center brand have a heavy coating of pine tar. Boggs’ number “12” is hand written in black marker on the knob and Boggs has signed the barrel and inscribed “GAME USED ‘99’” in black marker. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14672) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10. There is also an additional LOA from JSA (Z58697) for his signature.
