Presented here is a collection of four checks signed by Benjamin Harrison, the 23^rd President of the United States of America. Harrison is one-half of the only grandfather-grandson presidential duo, as his ancestor was William Henry Harrison, the ninth US President. Harrison, the only president to be preceded and succeeded by the same man, earned a reputation as a president of high integrity, and for paving the way for many of the modern presidents of the 1900s, such as William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt. All four checks in this lot are from the Fletcher National Bank, with three dated to the year 1900 and one preceding them from 1877. The 1877 check is for the value of $75.00 and is signed in black pen by Harrison. The remaining three checks are for smaller amounts, ranging from $2.12, to $7.75, to $31.05. Each one is signed in black pen. These items come with a LOA from JSA.
