Although the 1974 Milwaukee Brewers finished with a disappointing fifth place finish in the American League East, a promising young infielder made his debut with the club. Only 18-years-old at the time, future Hall of Famer Robin Yount began his rookie season and hit his first home run on April 13th off Baltimore Orioles’ pitcher Ross Grimsley in the eighth inning. Yount is the last 18-year-old to hit a home run, with only Andruw Jones and Bryce Harper since going yard as teenagers, both at age 19.

Offered is this “MILWAUKEE BREWERS” stamped baseball that features 15 signatures from the 1974 Brewers. Yount’s signature is on the south panel, along with the signatures of Eduardo Rodriguez (signed “Ed”) and Darrell Porter. Manager Harvey Kuenn’s signature, along with the autograph of Mike Hegan, are on the west panel. The east panel has the signatures of Deron Johnson, Johnny Briggs, Ken Berry and Bobby Mitchell. The north panel has the signatures of Clyde Wright, Kevin Kobel, Jim Colborn, Bob Hansen, Tom Murphy and Don Money. The baseball is in good shape and only displaying minor toning. All of the signatures have been penned in black ink and are clear. This baseball comes with a LOA from JSA (Z58581).
