Dale Murphy was the face of the Atlanta Braves during the late 1970s through the late 1980s. Though the Braves of that era didn’t field the strongest of teams, Murphy was a perennial All-Star and two-time (back-to-back) National League MVP in 1982 and 1983. Murphy was still hitting the long ball in 1989 as he pounded 20 home runs and had 84 RBI.
This Louisville Slugger B267 model bat was used by Murphy during the 1989 season. This offered bat displays excellent use and is un-cracked. There are some ball marks and other abrasions on the barrel and Murphy’s number “3” is hand written in black marker on the knob. Murphy signed his name in black marker to the left of his stamped signature on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14614) for the game use and a COA from JSA (S31951) for the signature.
