“Face of a Franchise” is a term often thrown around to various players, however, in the case of Todd Helton, there may not be a more legitimate instance where this can be applied. Helton spent his entire 17-year career with the Colorado Rockies and was a key member of the 2007 National League pennant winning team.

Helton used this Hillerich & Bradsby S2 model bat during the first two years of his career (1997-1998). This bat displays outstanding use and has a crack in the handle, with a piece of the bat missing from the handle area. The number “28” has been hand written in silver marker on the knob, which was the number worn by Darnell Coles and Rene Gonzalez in 1997 and Greg Colbrunn and Terrey Shumpert in 1998. The bat handle has been taped in a criss cross pattern to enhance the grip and there are several ball marks with stitch impressions and blue ink transfers on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14547), who determined that this bat meets all of the player use characteristics associated with Helton gamers.
