Ken Griffey Sr. will probably best be known for producing one of the best baseball players of all time in his son Ken Griffey, Jr. However, “Senior” had a pretty solid career himself that lasted 19 years playing for four different organizations. The two Griffey’s became the first father/son duo to play on the same team when they both suited up for the Seattle Mariners on August 31st, 1990. They also became the first and to this date, only father/son tandem to hit back-to-back home runs, when they accomplished this feat in September of 1990.

Griffey Sr. did not possess the power his son did, however the elder Griffey hit a career-high .336 in 1976 when this Hillerich & Bradsby All-Star Game Bicentennial stamped S216 model bat was issued to him. As would be expected with an issued bat, this model is un-cracked and displays no evidence of game use. The model number “S216” is stamped on the knob end and Griffey Sr. signed his name in bold blue marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14544) for it being issued in 1976 and a COA from JSA (S31961) for the signature.
