Frank Haley was a career minor-leaguer who spent 11 seasons from 1919 – 1929 in Fort Worth of the Texas League, Wichita and Lincoln of the Western League and three teams in the Southern Association (Nashville, Chattanooga and Atlanta). This offered bat is 35 inches in length, weighs in at 38.6 oz and was used by Haley during the 1928-29 labeling period.
The bat h as a crack on the handle and displays outstanding use with ball marks and cleat imprints. The wood has taken on a beautiful and rich patina with age and best of all the barrel features "factory side writing". This was done at the Louisville factory when a bat was returned to it could be replicated in future orders. The workmen would mark the bat's barrel in pencil recording the date and player name. This bat has "Frank.Haley 8-6-29 Atlanta GA BBC" written on its barrel and was returned while Haley was a member of the 1929 Atlanta Crackers of the Southern Association. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14591).
