Hall of Fame leftfielder Rickey Henderson wore this 1968 Oakland A’s throwback jersey during the 1992 season, during the second of his four stints with the A’s. Henderson debuted with the A’s in 1979, and in total spent 14 seasons with the ballclub. To honor one of the greatest players in franchise history, the A’s renamed the playing surface at the Oakland Coliseum “Rickey Henderson Field” during the 2017 season.

Henderson, baseball’s all-time leader in steals and runs, wore this vest during the 1992 season, when he hit 15 home runs and stole 48 bases in only 117 games. This button down jersey is a throwback to 1968, the A’s first season in Oakland after leaving Kansas City. “OAKLAND” is sewn across the chest in Kelly green and yellow tackle twill, with Henderson’s “24” sewn on the back in similar fashion. The sleeves and collar are trimmed in Kelly green and yellow. A Russell Athletic size “42” tag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. Henderson signed the collar in black marker. This item, which shows light used, comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for game use and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C42268) for the signature.
