Legendary kick return specialist Devin Hester wore these gloves on October 14th, 2007, during a Bears home game against the Minnesota Vikings. Although the Bears fell 34-31, Hester proved why he was one of the most dangerous weapons in the game. In the first quarter, Hester returned a punt 89 yards for a touchdown, one of his NFL-record four punt return touchdowns of the 2007 season. Hester caught one pass in this game, but he made it count, connecting with Brian Griese for a game tying 81 yard touchdown reception with 1:38 left on the game clock. This was the first touchdown reception of Hester’s career. Unfortunately for the Bears, Ryan Longwell nailed a 55-yard field goal as time expired, negating Hester’s electrifying day.

     These Reebok Griptonite gloves are orange, black, and white, with an NFL equipment shield on the top of each hand. A Reebok “RBK” logo is present on each thumb. A Griptonite logo is applied to each wrist strap. There is a minute rip on the underside of the right hand wristband. Hester signed the top of each glove in black marker, adding a “23” to each signature. On the left glove, Hester wrote “2 TD” and on the right, “Chi Vs. Min ‘07’ 1st Rec TD”.
