New York Knicks rebounding specialist and team enforcer Charles Oakley wore this jersey during the 1992-93 NBA season. “Oak” started every game for the Knicks that season, averaging 6.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while providing key minutes for a team that finished with an outstanding 60-22 record. The Knicks advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1992-93, where they lost in six games to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls, the eventual NBA champs.
This white home jersey has “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in orange and blue tackle twill. Oakley’s number “34” is sewn on the front and back in orange and blue tackle twill. “OAKLEY” is stitched across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill. A NBA logo patch is sewn on the left breast of the jersey. Two tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. The first is a “NBA 1992-93” tag with a “Body Length +4” denotation, and the second in a Champion size “48” tag. Oakley has signed the “4” digit on the front of the jersey in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for game use, and a COA from PSA/DNA for the signature (H89713).
