In 2004, the Boston Red Sox ended an 86 season title drought in dramatic fashion. The Sox won the AL Wild Card and swept the Anaheim Angels in three games during the Division Series. In the ALCS, they fell behind three games to none to the New York Yankees, their archrival, before incredibly winning four consecutive games. The series was capped off by a dominant 10-3 Red Sox win at Yankee Stadium, made possible by Johnny Damon’s explosive six RBI night. The World Series felt like a formality, as the Sox swept aside the St. Louis Cardinals in four quick games.

This Official 2004 World Series Allan H. Selig baseball features the signatures of 27 members of the historic 2004 Sox, including Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez and executive Theo Epstein. Other signatures include Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Jason Varitek, Kevin Youkilis, Curt Schilling, Bronson Arroyo, Alan Embree, Brad Mills, Curtis Leskanic, Dale Sveum, Dave Roberts, Dave Wallace, Doug Mientkiewicz, Doug Mirabelli, Gabe Kapler, Johnny Damon, Keith Foulke, Kevin Millar, Lynn Jones, Mark Bellhorn, Mike Meyers, Ron Jackson, Tim Wakefield, and Trot Nixon. The signature of manager Terry Francona, as well as the inscription “54/150”, is located on the sweet spot. The signatures of this ball are written in blue pen. This item comes with a LOA and a COA from Steiner Sports.
