Houston Astros multi-position Hall of Famer and 3,000 hit club member Craig Biggio wore these Franklin batting gloves during the 1997 season. Biggio had one of his best seasons in 1997, leading baseball in runs, with 146, while hitting 22 home runs and collecting 81 RBI. He was able to showcase his speed as well, nabbing 47 bases while batting in the leadoff position in the order. Biggio’s stellar play helped the Astros claim the NL Central Division title, finishing with a record of 84-78.
These gloves are gray and black Franklin gloves, made of tanned leather and lycra. The wrist straps feature Velcro fasteners with Biggio’s number “7” written on the top of the strap in black marker and a Diamond Collection label on the underside. A Franklin logo is present on the top of each palm. Biggio signed each wrist strap in black marker. These gloves come with a LOA from JSA (Z58689) for the signature, and a LOA from JT Sports for game use.
