Houston Astros Hall of Fame first baseman Jeff Bagwell wore this cap circa 1994-96. Bagwell was one of the most dominant hitters in baseball during that time period, winning the 1994 NL MVP Award with an absurd Triple Crown slash line of .368/39/116 accumulated in only 110 games during the strike-shortened campaign. Bagwell played his final season in 2005, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a part of its Class of 2017.
This black hat has the Astros gold, open-ended star logo on the front and a MLB logo on the back of the cap. Diamond Collection, New Era 59/50, and size “7 1/8” tags are sewn into the sweatband. Bagwell’s number “5” is written on the underside of the brim in black marker. He has signed the underside of the brim in black marker as well. This hat, which shows moderate use, comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for game use and a LOA from JSA (Z58695) for the signature.
