Presented here is a ticket from the first game of the 1932 World Series between the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs. This Fall Classic, a four game Yankee sweep, was defined by Babe Ruth’s famous Called Shot home run in Game 3. Lou Gehrig crushed three home runs in this World Series, while Tony Lazzeri and Ruth each chipped in two.

Game 1 of this series was a 12-6 Yankee victory at their home ballpark. Red Ruffing pitched a complete game to earn the win, while Guy Bush of the Cubs picked up the loss. Lou Gehrig hit his fifth career World Series home run in this game, and Babe Ruth went 1-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. This ticket, which has been trimmed according to PSA/DNA, has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (20346626).
