Presented here is a program for the Touchdown Club of Washington, D.C.’s 12th annual dinner celebration at the Statler Hotel in 1947. This dinner combined people from the world of politics as well as football, and honored several trailblazers of the sport. Players and coaches honored included Bill Dudley and Wallace Butts. The back page of this program has been signed by more than 20 members of the Touchdown Club, including legendary boxer Gene Tunney. Other signatures include Hall of Famers Charley Trippi, Bill Dudley, and Tuffy Leemans. The remaining signatures include Leonard Walsh, Homer Ferguson, William Douglas, Vernon Briggs, Jim Carney, and more. The signatures have been written in blue, black, and green steel-tip fountain pen. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Y25381).
